Episode 30: The Magic of Mischief

Jun 24, 2026

Somewhere along the way, many of us absorbed the idea that if something is important, it has to be serious.

Spirituality is perhaps one of the worst offenders. We lower our voices, furrow our brows, and become deeply committed to looking like we've transcended the need for a sense of humour.

Which is a shame. Because play has a funny way of loosening the very things we're trying so hard to change.

To celebrate our 30th episode, we decided to have a conversation about mischief. Why humour matters. Why wisdom and playfulness aren't opposites. And why taking yourself a little less seriously might just be one of the more spiritual things you can do.

Besides, if your path to enlightenment doesn't allow for the occasional laugh, it might be worth asking who made the rules.
